The Douglas baseball team employed a committee of pitchers on its way to a 5-3 win over Manogue in a non-league game in Reno Tuesday afternoon.
Kameron VanWinkle picked up his third win of the year in relief, but Douglas got a strong start from Tim Rudnick (five strikeouts, three walks), and a scoreless pair of innings from Troy Torres (one strikeout). Jordan Hadlock picked up the save with a strikeout and a walk in a scoreless seventh.
Douglas got home runs from Tyler May and Beau Davis. Davis also doubled while May drove in two runs. Hadlock and Torres each had an RBI as well.
