The Family Support Council of Douglas County is holding its largest fundraising event of the year, Puttin' on the Ritz, at Genoa Lakes 6-10 p.m. Saturday.
The event will invoke the style of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, spokeswoman Christy Kieffer said, including ballroom dancing demonstrations by award winning performers, as well as fine dining, wine and DJ dancing.
Guests are encouraged to bid on silent and live auctions items including romantic get-aways to Napa Valley and Yosemite, sports adventures for river rafters, flyfishermen and outdoor enthusiasts and specialty events for children.
Proceeds contribute to Family Support Council's annual operating budget and help provide quality, no-cost services, to victims of domestic violence and families in crisis in Douglas County.
The event is Saturday at Genoa Lakes Golf Club. Tickets are $50 per person in advance and $65 at the door. Information, Family Support Council, 782-8692.
