An unattended garment bag found on the second story of the Horizon Casino parking garage was X-rayed by members of the Tahoe-Douglas Bomb Squad and found harmless.
Security guards called deputies to the Horizon after finding the green bag at about 1:30 p.m.
After being X-rayed, the garment bag was collected and disposed of, according to Sgt. Jim Halsey of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
The bag was the second today to be found near a Stateline casino. The first was located between the railing and flower boxes next to Harvey's Casino and resulted in the closure of Stateline Avenue this morning.
"Neither the first suitcase nor the second garment bag was placed anywhere near anything strategic," Halsey said. "Both items were likely mistakenly left behind by their owners."
