Taking on the No. 2-ranked team in the region, the Douglas softball team got off to a strong start Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Tigers couldn't build on a three-run first inning, however, and Reno used a six-run second to take a 10-4 win in Reno.
Reno's Ashley Rahming struck out six and walked two in picking up the win.
Emily Weaver went 2-for-4 to lead the Tigers at the plate.
Douglas (9-3, 3-1) will host Reno in a doubleheader beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
