There's a fundraiser 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Barone & Reed in Minden for the Schulze and Gomez families. There's still something else coming in and I'll post it as I get the information. The families were burned out of their homes in separate fires Sunday and Monday.
County commissioners are meeting today on a variety of issues, including the rewrite of the floodplain ordinance. The old one took some hits and is no longer in effect. Commissioners meet 1 p.m. in the Douglas County Administrative Building, 1616 Eighth St., Minden.
