The Douglas High softball team closed out its home slate in style Thursday, picking up an 11-1 win over No. 8 Wooster to improve to 16-3 in Sierra League play.
Senior Lauren Hoppe hit a grand slam home run in the third inning, marking her fourth home run of the year and 18th of her four-year career.
Stephanie Harper, who took the win in the circle with four strikeouts and one walk, Katrina Morgan, Maddy Gilbert, Tara Paiement and Rebecca Trute each had an RBI as well.
Senior Dorothy Sliva also pitched two innings and had a hit and a run scored in her final home game.
The remainder of Douglas' offense came in the form of three hits from Morgan, two apiece from Emily Weaver and Mackenzie Cauley and one each from Hoppe, Harper, Gilbert, Morgan Blomstrom, Paiement and Trute.
Douglas travels to Wooster Saturday for a doubleheader.
