Roy Yates, "Master of Beyond Basic Horse Training," will conduct a horsemanship clinic at the Amacker Ranch on Centerville Lane on Friday through Sunday.
Yates' credentials include having held judging cards for AQHA, NRHA, NCHA, AOHA, and ApHC. He has trained many register of merit and superior horses in events such as reining, Western and English pleasure, hunter over fences, working cowhorse and cutting and has published articles for Western Horseman, the Quarterhorse Journal, and The Reiner.
The Roy Yates Horsemanship Program is designed to help riders incorporate basic dressage to develop horsemanship. Information at www.royyates.com. Clinic fees are $150 per day to ride and $50 per day for spectators.
