Plans for cultural arts center discussed Thursday

The Carson Valley Arts Council invites regional arts organization, community arts supporters and CVAC members to the second Town Hall Forum and Cafe discussion regarding plans for the Copeland Cultural Arts Center facility, 7 p.m. Thursday at the Copeland Cultural Arts Center, 1572 Highway 395, Minden.

Improvement materials needed

Volunteers from GE Energy will be beautifying the old Copeland Lumber building for Global Community Day on Saturday.

This project is one of the first steps in converting the building into a multipurpose performing arts center.

Some of the materials needed by the Carson Valley Arts Council and volunteers are:

n Exterior latex primer, 35 gallons total needed,

n 30 rolls of plastic sheeting

n Interior latex primer, 10 gallons total

n Plastic drop cloths

n Paint roller covers

n Painters tape


Materials can be dropped off at the GE building at 1631 Bently Parkway South in Minden during regular business hours.
