Instructor Lindsey Frueh demonstrates how to preserve treasured memories with the art of scrapbooking through a class offered as part of the Douglas County Senior Center's Life Options program.

The scrapbooking workshop is 9-11 a.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, beginning Thursday at the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane in Gardnerville. The class fee is $6.

Frueh has been doing scrapbooking for eight years. She teaches traditional scrapbooking with paper, scissors and stickers and digital scrapbooking. The digital version is done online.

"It's easy. You do it online and send your pages to a company that prints them," she said. "They send them back to you and it looks like a yearbook."

Information at the senior center, 783-6455, or Lindsey Frueh at 265-6345.
