A home on Riverview was destroyed in a fire on Sunday morning. East Fork Fire Capt. Terry Taylor said the fire at 1347 S. Riverview claimed the life of a cat. We'll have more on the fire later this morning.

Indian Hills General Improvement District members are scheduled to meet tonight to choose a new manager. The selection is the only item on the agenda. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the district offices on James Lee Park Road.

Nearly half of Douglas County's active voters have already cast their ballots. Another 1,199 people came to the CVIC Hall to vote early on Friday. That's the highest single location turn-out in this election. It might be the highest for any election. The total number of early voters was 13,318. About 4,000 absentee ballots are out there. Polls open 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

There's a big crescent of weather wrapped around us with the southern part over Auburn right now. It looks like it might be shredding over the mountaintops for now. The Weather Service has pulled the possibility of snow out of the forecast and reduced the chance of moisture to 70 percent.
