Food drive
Gardnerville Boy Scout Troop 411 and Cub Scout Pack 409 will be in Chichester Estates and west of Tillman Lane and in Pleasantview leaving food collection notices Saturday. Topaz Sagehens Fall Boutique and bake sale community fundraiser is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Topaz Ranch Estates Park building on Carter Drive. Art and crafts, baked goods, hot dogs, chili dogs, baked potatoes, drinks available. Raffle tickets, 6 for $5, 32 for $20.

Antelope bazaar

Museum lecture
Author Mike Makley discusses the "Fight for the Comstock Riches," 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville. The free lecture series is sponsored by the Douglas County Historical Society the second Thursday of the month.
