NV Energy crews are restoring electricity to 3,000 customers who lost power at 1:52 p.m. today.
According to power company spokesman Karl Walquist, the outage was caused by an equipment failure in the Pinenut Substation in Fish Springs.
Crews are switching affected customers to other circuits while repairs are being completed.
Walquist said affected areas are along Centerville Lane, the Gardnerville Ranchos, Marlette, Jobs Peak, Riverview, Fairview and northern Gardnerville.
