The Sierra Intermountain Emergency Radio Association meets, 7 p.m. Thursday, at Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Guest speaker Carole Freeman presents photos and the 40-minute DVD, 'A 100-Mile Trek in the Everest Region of Nepal.'

Freeman is a former law enforcement executive with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and has hiked Jobs Peak and Mt. Whitney. Anyone interested in amateur radio or Freeman's presentation is welcome. Information, Dorothy Uebele, 265-4278.
