We're following up on Monday afternoon's accident at Highway 395 above Ray May Way. Reported as a rear-end collision, the wreck appears to have been at the end of the passing lane that goes up the hill. Traffic was backed up to Ray May by the time the road reopened to southbound traffic at around 5:15 p.m. At least four people were taken from the scene for medical treatment.
Last night's was the quietest Indian Hills meeting I've ever been to. That's because I was the only one there. In the bleary and weary, I mistook a 7 for a 9. Small consolation that at 5:56 p.m. I was the only one standing out front wondering where everyone was. My apologies to all for the error. The meeting is actually Wednesday night.
R-C weather watcher Stan Kapler said Minden got up to 71 degrees on Monday. It looks like Tuesday might be a repeat. Temperatures are still supposed to drop by Thursday, but until then highs will be in the upper 60s under sunny skies.
