Accused Wildhorse burglar in court

A Wildhorse man accused of burglarizing his neighbors' home appeared in East Fork Justice Court on Wednesday.

Jacob Lacey, 19, appeared before Justice Pro Tem Paul Gilbert in connection with a charge of felony burglary and two traffic misdemeanors.

Lacey is being held in Douglas County Jail in lieu of $12,500 bail. Alternative sentencing added $2,500 cash bail to that figure on Wednesday because Lacey also faces a violation in a previous case.

Attorney Kris Brown was appointed as Lacey's attorney after he told Gilbert he didn't have a job or money to hire his own attorney.

Gilbert entered not guilty pleas in the two misdemeanors for Lacey, and set a Nov. 26 hearing.

Lacey is accused of participating with Kyle Liddicoat in break-ins that took place in Johnson Lane, Wildhorse and Stephanie Way homes during July while the occupants were asleep.

In October, Liddicoat was sentenced to up to 12 years in prison. He must serve at least 32 months before he is eligible for parole.
