Carson Valley Inn entertainment

Room to Move appears through Sunday and various duos entertain on Monday nights. Cabaret Lounge entertainment is presented with no cover and no minimum in 45-minute shows at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.

Room to Move is known for their large repertoire, strong vocals, a hard driving rhythm section, showmanship and musicianship. The group, formerly known as Tina and the Tune Ups, is Tina Fink on keyboards and lead vocals, Ray Rodarte on lead guitar and vocals, Gary Setzer on drums and Dave Edwards on bass.

The Millionaire$ take the Cabaret Lounge stage Tuesday and play until Dec. 7. Rick and Dana are The Millionaire$ featuring strong vocals backed by excellent musicianship. This two-piece act is dedicated to providing quality top 40, classic rock and pop music.

n Monday Night Football features sports viewing on giant plasma screens, draft beer and snack specials and drawings for prizes.

'Nutcracker' ballet

The Pinkerton Ballet Theatre presents its 20th annual production of "The Nutcracker" ballet, 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Carson City Community Center.

'Babes in Toyland'

Carson Performing Arts Capitol Stars and BACStage Kids present "Babes in Toyland" at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 449 West King St., Carson City.

The holiday musical is performed at 7 p.m. Dec. 5, Dec. 6 and Dec. 12 and at 2 p.m. Dec. 7, Dec. 13 and Dec. 14.

Holiday on Ice

The Tahoe Figure Skating Club hosts Christmas Holiday on Ice, 5-6:30 p.m. Dec. 13, at the South Tahoe Ice Arena, 1176 Rufus Allen Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Figure skaters dance to holiday music classics and there will be performances by Tahoe Elementary Honor Choir, Tahoe Skate School and South Tahoe Area Hockey League.

Holiday Treat concert Dec. 14

The Carson City Symphony presents the 25th annual Holiday Treat concert, 4 p.m. Dec. 14, at the Bob Boldrick Theater in the Carson City Community Center.

The symphony is joined by the Carson Chamber Singers and the Sierra Nevada Children's Choir. Pre-concert entertainment by the Carson High School Brass Ensemble begins at 3 p.m. in the lobby.

Joyful Noise

The Unity Center's seventh annual Joyful Noise holiday show is 7 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Brewery Art Center Performance Hall, 511 W. King St., Carson City.

The show features Cherie and John Shipley, with Scot Marshall on bass and Graham Marshall on fiddle, and the Unity Center Chorus.
