The bees have done their pollinating and the pumpkins are plump, the corn is 11 feet tall and the Wagon Wheel from Outer Space corn maze is ready for the 2008 Corley Ranch Harvest Festival, open weekends through October.
Activities include finding the Charlie Brown pumpkin hidden in the corn maze, answering questions hidden in the crop circles correctly to receive a prize and watching piglets race for Oreo cookies.
The harvest festival also includes a bounce house, viewing of farm animals, panning for gold, the kids' straw maze, food, crafters, entertainment and produce for sale such as pumpkins, gourds, winter squash, watermelon, corn and other vegetables organically grown on the Corley Ranch. Vegetables are available for picking in the field or in the Country Store.
There will be miniature horses to ride, a horsedrawn hay ride and a miniature train.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Saturday and Sunday Harvest Festival events on October weekends.
Entrance fee for the Night Crawler Maze event at 7-9 p.m. Saturdays includes hot cocoa and a sweet roll. Bring your own flashlights. There is an extra charge for the Haunted Hay Ride through the cemetery.
