The Topaz Cure-Aiders Relay for Life team sponsors Shoot for the Cure as a kick-off fundraising event for the 2009 season at Carson Valley Clays Gun Club on Saturday. Shoot for the Cure features 100 rounds of sporting clays. Sign-ups at 9 a.m. and shooting at 10 a.m.
The cost of $65 per person includes lunch and clays. Prizes will be awarded for raffles and to winners of the shoot. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society for financial assistance, research and patient services in Northern Nevada.
Carson Valley Clays is south of Gardnerville at 92 China Springs Road. The nonprofit organization hosts fundraising events through the year including those for the Douglas High School softball team, the Chukar Club and the Reno Cast and Blast.
