Continue to trust to exercise faith

People are not seeing God's promises because they are not believing them. They are allowing the world's turmoil and instability to effect their faith. Actual headlines: "Doomsday coming," "Economic forecast gloomy," "Employers nationwide cut 159K jobs," "Wells Fargo agrees to buy Wachovia," "National debt over $10 trillion," "I see an empire falling," "Feeling Wall Street's pain from Manila to Paris."

Many of God's people are paralyzed by fear. The things we do are a reflection of our faith. If when times get tough we stop giving, trusting and walking in faith, what is that saying to God? To exercise faith we should continue to trust.

If you are trusting in your own wisdom during this tough time, fear! Many people smarter than you are in big trouble.

If you are trusting in financial institutions, fear!

If you are trusting in the government, fear!

If you are trusting in Obama or McCain, fear!

If you are trusting in any political party, fear!

If you are trusting in science, fear!

Fear is the opposite of faith. Wherever fear exists, faith is lacking. I John 4:18-19, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. If God loved us first why should we fear anything?

Other scriptures relating to His care for us: Be still and know that I am God. If God be for us who can be against us?

Psalm 56:3, Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.

Psalm 112:7, He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

Proverbs 3:24, When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.

Remember this, if you are a believer, you are a believer " meaning you believe now, not you once believed.

If you belong to the household of God you need not fear!

If your Father is God you need not fear!

If you are walking with the Lord you need not fear!
