It was a day of repeats all the way around for the Douglas High girls' golf team Tuesday afternoon in Elko.
Douglas captured its second-consecutive Northern 4A Regional team title and Tiger sophomore Bethany Wurster captured her second-consecutive regional individual title.
"We're putting up another banner in the gym," Douglas coach Steve Gustafson said. "The girls were pretty excited. They were nervous through the first four or five holes, but once they settled in, they were fine."
Douglas won its 15th-consecutive tournament on Northern Nevada soil with a two-day total of 656, 26 strokes better than second place Bishop Manogue.
Spanish Springs was third at 695, Elko fourth at 717 and Damonte Ranch, Reno, Galena and Reed rounded out the top eight in order.
Wurster won her sixth tournament out of seven total this season, shooting a two-day total of 148, including a one-over par 73 on Tuesday.
Senior Michele Nikkels took seventh with a 168, junior Heather Henderson was eighth with a 169, senior Shelby Louie was 11th with a 171 and junior Annika Crowe was 36th with a 207.
Douglas will be attempting to improve upon last year's state runner-up finish next week in the NIAA 4A State Championships in Reno.
