Teen dance
The Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department sponsors a teen dance, 7-9:30 p.m. today at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Building. The dance is for grades 6-8. Cost of $10 includes a slice of pizza and a drink. Information, 782-9828.
Murder mystery

Philharmonic membership dinner
Sierra Philharmonic League celebrates 25 years with a membership dinner, 6 p.m. Oct. 28, at Antoci's at Genoa Lakes. The league welcomes members, guests and those interested in finding out more about the philharmonic league to attend. Social hour at 6 p.m. and dinner served at 7:15 p.m. Dinner is halibut, prime rib of beef or a vegetarian entree. Entertainment provided by members of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra. Cost is $35.
