Calling all ladies...the Carson Valley Golf Course cordially invites you to attend their first annual Pink Ball Bash on Saturday. All proceeds from the event benefit Carson Tahoe Cancer Services, which provides support to cancer patients and their families in the Northern Nevada region.

Check-in is at 9 a.m. and includes a champagne continental breakfast. Play starts at 10 a.m. There will be hot soup at the turn and a light lunch served during the scoring.

There is a silent auction, with items available for bidding until 3 p.m. Though the tournament is for ladies only, anyone can bid on the auction items which include a freestanding linen cabinet, a framed watercolor painting by local artist Madeline Bohanon, room and dinner packages from Topaz Lodge, Carson Valley Inn and Ridge Tahoe, and golf clubs and golf balls.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You can show your support and help raise awareness by wearing a "Think Pink" T-shirt or wristband, both of which are available in the pro shop at the course.

This fun end-of-season tournament costs $55 per lady and is a great way to support an important service in our area. All levels of players are welcome to attend. For more information, contact the golf course at 265-3181.
