Douglas High sophomore standout Amelia Ritger put the finishing touches on her second consecutive perfect season in Northern Nevada play, winning her second Northern 4A Regional title Saturday.

Ritger beat Galena's Hannah Llop 6-2, 7-5 in the tournament final, a rematch of last year's tournament final.

Ritger beat Reno's Shelly Tone to advance to the championship round. She'll now move on to the state tournament, where she experienced the only loss of her high school career in the first round of last year's tournament.

Douglas freshman James TenBroeck advanced to the state tournament as well with a win over Carson's Spencer Brinson in the third-place match.

Earlier in the day, TenBroeck gave eventual regional champion Jeff Mullen a run before losing 6-2, 7-5.
