A restitution hearing for a couple accused of using someone else's credit cards is scheduled for this morning in District Court. Melissa Miller and Douglas Goldy admitted to using the credit card, but disputed the amount. They were both sentenced to suspended 32-month prison terms, which they'll have hanging over their heads for the next five years.

Early voting continues today through Saturday. The Douglas County Clerk-Treasurer has released the final voter registration numbers. Republicans have 14,533 active voters and 2,527 inactive voters for a total of 17,060. Democrats have 8,308 active voters and 1,433 in active voters for 9,741. There are 3,766 active non-partisans and 1,094 inactive non-partisans for a total of 4,860. Independent Americans have 1,436 voters, There are 226 Libertarians, 116 Green Party members, 30 Natural Law party members and 113 others. Inactive voters are those who haven't voted in a presidential election.

While the forecast shows mostly sunny over the next week or so, I'm a little sketchy after getting rained on during early voting on Saturday, when it was supposed to be mostly sunny. Today's forecast is again mostly sunny with a high temperature of 71 degrees. The low tonight is only supposed to go to 35. Expect the winds today, with gusts of up to 20 mph.
