Spooky stories
The Douglas County Public Library in Minden presents spooky stories and poems as read by Tilly the Witch, alias Library Services Coordinator Carol Nageotte, at 6 p.m. Oct. 27.
Children age four and older are invited to dress in Halloween costumes to hear stories from "Making Friends with Frankenstein: A Book of Monstrous Poems and Pictures," by Colin McNaughton, "The Spook Matinee and Other Scary Poems for Kids," by George Ulrich and "Spider on the Floor." Pop-up books and a flashlight story will be featured.

Halloween story time
Story time continues with special Halloween stories, 10:30 a.m. Oct. 28 at the Douglas County Public Library, 1625 Library Lane, Minden. Children age 3 and older may wear Halloween costumes and Miss Carol will read books featuring the Clifford and Corduroy characters.

The Douglas County Public Library is having raffle for a reusable tote bag. Fill out a raffle ticket until Nov. 12 at the front desk. The Minden library is at 1625 Library Lane.
Members wanted
The Douglas County Public Library Teen Advisory Board is looking for new members. Do you like to read, eat pizza, and hang out with other teens? Library closure
The Douglas County Public Library will be closed Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 for Nevada Day and will re-open 10 a.m. Nov. 3.
