A 29-year-old Indian Hills woman was jailed Monday on $25,000 bail, accused of chasing her ex-boyfriend down the street with a 12-inch butcher knife.

According to authorities, Leann Lepage also jumped in her car and went after Justin Snyder, 30, "to run him over," according to sheriff's office reports.

There were no injuries.

Deputies had been called to the couple's Mica Drive address at 1:20 a.m. after hearing what a neighbor described as "a loud bang." Neither party was willing to file charges.

Officers returned to the neighborhood in the 900 block of Mica at 3:30 p.m. after witnesses said Lepage was chasing Snyder with a butcher knife and making slashing motions at his torso.

Lepage told authorities Snyder kicked in her door when he came to collect his property and she feared for herself and her children.

One of the witnesses was a school bus driver who saw the chase at the intersection of Vista Grande and Mica Drive.

Lepage was jailed on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

Snyder was jailed on $500 bail on a charge of destruction of property.
