A memorial service was Friday for native Nevadan Becky Nicole Portch, 29, who died Oct. 20, 2008.
Born Aug. 25, 1979, in Carson City to David Portch and Dawn Matsumura, she was 22-year resident of Douglas County.
A homemaker, she received an associate's degree in criminal justice from Northern Nevada Community College.
She enjoyued reading and spending time with her sons.
Ms. Portch is survived by parents Dawn and Shoji Matsumura and David and Doreen Portch; fiancee Ken Hicks; sons Greg and Andrew Hicks; brothers Chad Matsumara, Darren Matsumara, Austin Portch and Daniel Cronin; sisters Kim Grove, Jennifer Hamblen, Kristy Swirczek, Mikayla Portch and Stacie Cronin; six nieces; two nephews; three uncles and three aunts.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
