A Sunridge man was jailed on $210,000 bail Tuesday with two co-defendants accused of possession of stolen property after Douglas County sheriff's deputies recovered items believed taken in four residential burglaries.

Arrested and charged with burglary, grand larceny and receiving stolen property Tuesday were:

-- Ricky Anthony Barrios, 19, $210,000 bail;

-- Didier Moguel, 23, $185,000 bail;

-- Zeth Moguel, 18, $60,000 bail.

The Moguels also were under holds placed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

They appeared Wednesday before East Fork Justice Jim EnEarl who appointed attorneys for the men and scheduled hearings Nov. 5.

When Zeth Moguel said he was unemployed and couldn't hire his own lawyer, EnEarl said, "I seem to want to ask how all of you were living, but I'm not. The state has their own theory on that."

Some of the stolen items, including weapons, may have been distributed in Carson City, according to reports.

Based on witness statements and additional reports of suspicious activity, Investigator Greg Rooney obtained a search warrant for the residence and vehicle.

According to court documents, deputies arrived at the residence at 992 Starburst at 8 a.m. Tuesday and found a vehicle reportedly used in a break-in several weeks earlier.

Deputies said they were able to tie property in the house to four residential burglaries in Indian Hills and Sunridge between Sept. 22 and Oct. 16.

Douglas County Sheriff's Capt. Keith Logan said 22 items worth more than $6,000 were recovered at the house.

Among the items still unaccounted for are five long guns, two revolvers and an automatic handgun.

The vehicle was tied to a September burglary at a home in the 800 block of Coloma Drive in which neighbors tried to get in the house to stop two suspects from fleeing with computers and DVDs.

Deputies were called to the Indian Hills residence shortly after noon when witnesses saw the suspect vehicle speed from the scene.

The vehicle was described as a late model white sedan with a windshield visor sticker "RACEDAY," damaged hood and damaged rear license plate cover which matched the car found at the Starburst residence.

Three witnesses greeted deputies at the Coloma residence. A man said he saw the suspects approach the residence, one to the front and the second to the rear yard.

The suspects drove their vehicle into the attached garage.

Two neighbors approached the front door but were refused entry.

Within minutes, the suspects sped away in their vehicle.

Deputies said the home had been ransacked.

The homeowner told deputies a computer, stereo, DVDs, computer flat screen, keyboard and $35 were missing.

According to reports, Barrios and Didier Moguel would break into homes in the morning and take computers, electronics and jewelry.

Victims included their neighbors on Sunburst.

Undersheriff Paul Howell said the suspects took firearms, electronic game systems, audio players and equipment, computer equipment, cameras and jewelry.

"Photographs recovered at the scene depict the suspects holding several other weapons that have not been recovered," Howell said.

Additional search warrants have been served in Carson City based on information that some of the property had been sold or traded there, Howell said.

"Investigator Rooney and his team worked very hard to solve these crimes that were plaguing our community," Howell said. "Everyone involved appreciates the efforts of the community to remain aware of what is happening in their neighborhoods and to report any criminal or suspicious activity to the sheriff's office promptly for investigation."

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about the suspects or who received property from them is asked to contact Rooney at 782-9926.
