The Douglas High boys' soccer team picked up a 2-0 win at Reno Wednesday afternoon in a non-league game.
Douglas goalie Corbin Zumpft posted his second shutout of the season with nine saves.
Ross Gardner scored the Tigers' first goal in the 10th minute on a long indirect kick from Brian Randall.
In the 15th minute, Gardner took the ball down the sideline on a give-and-go with Edgar Arceo and played the ball in front of the net to Cole Cline. Cline put the ball in for the goal.
Douglas coach Milko Vasquez noted the play of Arceo, Andrew Andraski, Tyler Bankofier, Dylan Colbert, Edgar Gonzalez and Jeff Crozier.
"We were able to use the entire bench and we played some stand-up defense in the second half," Vasquez said. "We got some quality opportunities on the offensive end as well. Reno's wide-open field played to our advantage."
Douglas improved to 3-1 with the win and will play in a tournament in Sacramento this weekend.
