Shawn Estes, P, San Diego Padres: Estes picked up a 5-2 win over the Brewers Thursday in his first start back since May 28. He struck out one and walked one in six innings of work to improve to 2-1 on the year.


Bryan Miller, OF, Washington Nationals (Single-A Hagerstown): Miller had a hit against Lake County last Monday abd gas two RBIs and a home run in 27 games with the Hagerstown Suns.

Andy McIntosh, sr., WR, Nevada: Nevada lost to No. 12 Texas Tech 35-19 Saturday. McIntosh recorded a solo tackle on special teams.


Jeff Nady, fr., OL, Nevada: Redshirting. Nevada lost to No. 12 Texas Tech 35-19.


Billy Coats, fr., LS, Navy: Redshirting at U.S. Naval Academy Preparatory School. Navy lost to Ball State 35-23 Saturday.


Jake Peterson, sr., LB, Pennsylvania: Season opens Sept. 20 vs. Villanova.


Brent Koontz, Rfr., LB, Southern Oregon: Southern Oregon lost to NCAA Division II Humboldt State 15-13 on Saturday. Koontz did not play.


Brock Peterson, fr., RB, Linfield: Season opens Sept. 13 at Hardin-Simmons.

Krysten (Bartshe) Clardy, sr., M/F, Southwest Baptist: Clardy, who got married in June, has been elected the Bearcats' team captain this season and is starting on the left wing. In the team's season-opener, an 11-0 win over Oakland City, she had one shot on goal.


Morgan LeFever, fr., M, Academy of Arts: The Urban Knights settled for a 2-2 tie against Fresno Pacific last week. LeFever has three shots on goal in two starts this season.


Chase Zumpft, soph., GK, Oakland City: Oakland City has lost its first five games of the year, the most recent coming to Northwood on Sunday.


Jessi Chitwood, soph., D, Oakland City: The Lady Oaks fell to Southern Indiana 2-0 on Sunday.


Rachel Van Roy, soph., M, Cascade College: Cascade lost to Great Falls 1-0 in overtime to open the year.


Chris Aguiar, jr., GK, Simpson College: Simpson has tied Northwest Christian College 1-1 and beaten Oregon Tech 5-0 to open the year.

Samantha Ensminger, fr., D, Feather River: The Eagles have lost their first five games of the season.


Kyle Mannschreck, soph., D/M, Feather River: The Eagles lost their first game of the year to Cabrillo.


Jose Alcaraz, fr., D/GK, Feather River: Feather River lost to Cabrillo to open the year.

Monica Knight, jr., Hofstra: Hofstra suffered a trio of losses over the weekend to San Diego, Oklahoma and USC. Knight has 43 kills, 15 assists, 50 digs and two service aces on the year.


Colleen Carlson, soph., San Diego: The Torreros swept Hofstra and beat Oklahoma but dropped their first match of the season against No. 7 USC. Carlson has not yet recorded any statistics this season.


Lauren Kelly, jr., Nevada: Nevada fell to No. 6 UCLA on Friday but beat Seattle Sunday. Kelly has 29 digs and four blocks on the season.


Whitney Estes, jr., Grand Canyon: Grand Canyon won all four of its matches at the Cactus Classic over the weekend. Estes has 49 kills on the season to go with eight assists and eight blocks.


Cayla Knapp, jr., Arkansas-Monticello: The team won the Montevallo Classic over the weekend with a trio of three-game sweeps. Knapp had eight kills in a win over Montevallo.


Dawson Joyce-Mendive, soph., Tufts: Season opened Tuesday vs. Stonehill.
