The Sertoma Club's 18th annual Oktoberfest celebration of brats and brew begins at noon, Sunday, in Heritage Park, Gardnerville. Admission is free.
There will be special Oktoberfest beers on tap, wine, soft drinks, sausages, hot German potato salad, sauerkraut with hot dogs, ice cream and apple strudel.

Radio Rage appears through Sunday and various duos entertain on Monday nights. Cabaret Lounge entertainment is presented with no cover and no minimum in 45-minute shows at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 p.m.
Radio Rage offers a spectrum of musical styles as they perform male and female hits in classic and modern rock, R&B, disco, hip-hop and pop. Radio Rage members have performed with Michael Bolton, Rick Springfield, Sammy Hagar, Jonathan Cain, David Foster and the Divinyls.
Streetheart takes the Cabaret Lounge stage Tuesday and plays until Sept. 28. Streetheart presents a vocally oriented show featuring classic rock 'n roll from the '60s to the '90s. The group is leader Tom Quinn on lead guitar and vocals, Gus Bueaudoin on bass and vocals, Todd Hidden on drums and vocals and Wolfgang Grasekamp on keyboards.

Acoustic Solution plays, beginning at 8:30 p.m. today, at Indigo. Acoustic Solution is John, Wendy and Seth Andrews who play eclectic folk and electrified acoustic music on a collection of instruments ranging from guitars, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, piano, percussion and drums. The band plays covers by Crosby, Stills and Nash, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Grateful Dead, and original material.

Courtroom drama continues
The Carson Valley Community Theatre presents "The Night of January 16th" by Ayn Rand.
The courtroom drama will be performed today through Sunday at the CVIC Hall in Minden. Evening performances are 7 p.m., Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.
"The Night of January 16th" offers suspense, intrigue and a surprise ending. It is recommended for mature audiences.

Ballet at MontBleu
The Sierra Ballet Theatre Co. opens its third season with a dance program, 7 p.m. Oct. 4, at the MontBleu Theater in Stateline.
The show includes the contemporary ballet "Rachmaninoff" and children's ballet "Madeline" based on the book, "Madeline's Rescue," by Ludwig Bemelmans. Also in the program is "Love and Loss," a showcase of jazz styles accompanied by techno, country, hip hop and pop music.
