The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary Monday at a home in the 800 block of Coloma Drive in which neighbors tried to get in the house to stop two suspects from fleeing with computers and DVDs.
Deputies were called to the Indian Hills residence shortly after noon when witnesses saw the suspect vehicle speed from the scene.
The vehicle was described as a late model white sedan with a windshield visor sticker "RACEDAY," damaged hood and damaged rear license plate cover.
Three witnesses greeted deputies at the residence. A man said he saw the suspects approach the residence, one to the front and the second to the rear yard.
The suspects drove their vehicle into the attached garage.
The owner was not at home during the burglary.
Two neighbors approached the front door but were refused entry.
Within minutes, the suspects sped away in their vehicle.
Deputies said the home had been ransacked.
The homeowner told deputies a computer, stereo, DVDs, computer flat screen, keyboard and $35 were missing.
Secret Witness is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever is repsonsible. Anyone with information is asked to call 782-7463 or 586-7295.
