A memorial service is 11 a.m. Oct. 2 at Trinity Lutheran Church for native Nevadan Jacqueline Jurosovich, 53, who died Sept. 18, 2008, at her home in Carson City.
Born Nov. 30, 1954, in Carson City to James Arthur and Lois Margaret Brooks, she was raised in Gardnerville. She graduated from Douglas High School in 1974.
She married John Jurosovich on July 21, 1979, in Gardnerville.
Mrs. Jurosovich was supervisor at Eagle Valley Children's Home for 18 years. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, James, and her sister-in-law Jacqueline.
She is survived by her husband, John; two sons, Dylan Thomas, 18, and Connor James, 12; mother Lois; two brothers and sisters-in-law Robert and Melanie Brooks and Lewis Patrick and Annette Brooks; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A trust fund has been set up for her sons at Wells Fargo Bank.
