After a back-and-forth first game that ended up with Damonte Ranch prevailing 31-29, the Douglas High volleyball team cruised ahead with 25-20, 25-20 and 25-18 wins to remain perfect on Nevada soil for the season.
Jessica Waggoner had a big match with 18 blocks and 13 kills while Jourdan Burke and Taryn Williams had 15 and 14 kills respectively and Megan Mitchell dished out 33 assists to go with six aces and five blocks.
Mysta Townsell led the Tigers with 23 digs.
Shannon Dugan had four kills, Bryanna Schinzing had two and Rebecca Antti, Emily Garcia, Jamie Lornzen and Mitchell each had one.
Dugan had four blocks, Antti, Schinzing and Burke three each, Lorntzen two and Christine DuPuis, Jackie Harper, Garcia and Williams each with one.
Jordan Marsh and Mia Townsell each had five digs, Burke and Mitchell each had three and Dugan, Waggoner and Williams each had one.
Douglas had 15 aces in the match, including Mitchell's six. Antti, Dugan, Marsh and Waggoner each had two and Mysta Townsell had one.
Douglas improved to 21-1 overall and 3-0 in Sierra League play. Damonte fell to 2-1 in league play.
Douglas beat Damonte Ranch 25-10, 25-18 to improve to 6-0 on the year.
Carson McFadden had four points, three aces and a kill, Brenna White had three points, an ace, a block and four kills, Erin Allison had eight points, two aces, a block and four kills, Nathalia Pecorilla had six points, two aces and two kills, and Heidi Schefick had six points, three aces and a kill to lead the Tigers.
Nikki Chavez had a point and a dig, Carly McCullough had a block, Courtney Appleton had a point and three kills, Bri Burnside had two points, a block and a kill, Keely Latham had a block, Dani Trujillo had a point and Shawna Gervais had three digs.
