Teamleader wins Best in Show

Members of the Douglas County 4-H Funny Bunnies project competed at the Fernley Small Animal Show on Sept. 6. Attendance was great and Amelia Ritger, age 15, teen leader in the project, won Best of Show with her Holland lop out of 280 rabbits.

Also competing from our project was Kasey Williams, age 12, who won Best of Breed with his Mini Rex. Amelia also won an electric ear tattoo kit which is great because no one in the project has one, so everyone is excited about her prize. We had a really fun time and met lots of other rabbit members from around the state.
