Candy Dance appears to be drawing a record crowd this year. An estimated 30,000 visitors swell the population of Genoa each year.
Crafters will be open until 5 p.m. today when the craft fair closes until 9 a.m. Sunday.
Best access to town is down Highway 395 to Genoa Lane. The Nevada Highway Patrol has reduced the highway down to a single lane so visitors can safely pull back onto the highway as they leave.
Tickets are available at the door for the dance-only at the Orchard House, starting at 4 p.m. Shuttles from the Carson Valley Inn and Douglas High School are available for $2. Parking at the Candy Dance is $5.
