The Douglas High boys' golf team was able to post another solid team score Monday afternoon at Thunder Canyon in Reno to boost itself to third place overall in the Sierra League season standings.
Junior Thomas Wicker led the Tigers with a 75.
"He was in the running for his second first-place finish (of the year), but was edged out by Jordan Anderson of Manogue," Douglas coach Brent Eddy said.
Eric Guzman posted a 90 for Douglas, Trevor Wentz had an 84 and Aaron Allen and Logan McNeil each had 94s.
"Trevor had his best varsity tournament," Eddy said. "We were able to finish in the top four again, which helps our overall standings for regionals."
