Aided by a strong, steady wind out to left field, the Damonte Ranch and Douglas High School baseball teams combined for six home runs, each to left or left center, Thursday afternoon as the Mustangs took a 17-6 win over the Tigers in Minden.

Damonte's Anthony Rosa belted two home runs, doubled and drove in six runs total to lead the Mustangs while Ray Daniels and Taylor Bates each homered as well. Cody Stevens, Brandon Frankl, Bates and Ryan Rieger each drove in a pair of runs for Damonte.

Douglas got a pair of two-run home runs from starting pitcher Tyler Hoelzen and shortstop Tim Rudnick came up with the team's only other RBI in the loss. Hoelzen and Troy Torres each went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team.

The two teams will meet up again Saturday in Reno for a doubleheader.
