MINDEN, Nev.
Staff Reports
Each year the Carson Valley Art Association has an in-house art show at Western Nevada College where a local organization is invited to pick a painting from the show in appreciation of their support over the years.
This year the Town of Minden selected Nancy Kilberg's painting, "Our Heritage," for which she received $200 from the CVAA. The Town of Minden has allowed the use of the CVIC Hall for CVAA's Carson Valley Days and scholarship shows each year. Other recipients have been the Douglas County Public Library, Western Nevada College and the University of Nevada, Reno, Cooperative Extension.
The CVAA meets at 1:30 p.m. on the fourth Friday of the month at the UNR Cooperative Extension conference room, 1329 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville. Information, Ron Clarke, 782-8035.
