A Gardnerville Ranchos man is in custody after surrendering to Douglas County deputies at 5:48 p.m.
Deputies cordoned off Long Valley after the man greeted two bail agents with a rifle at about 5 p.m. The agents called deputies in for help.
Deputies evacuated at least one neighboring home during the course of the incident.
