A memorial service will be in Charleston, S.C., for Gardnerville resident Mildred Elizabeth Dozier, 84, who died here on April 13, 2009.
Born in Charleston on Jan. 5, 1925, to Walter D. and Rosa Eva Shealy Sr., she was a homemaker, mother and Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her six sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by sons Dennis Earl (Brenda) Cardell of Oklahoma and Manny (Sharon) Dozier of Severn, Md.; daughter Genie (Reese) Bordelon of Gardnerville; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park Chapel.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
