After winning their pool at the Bishop Gorman Easter Classic earlier in the week, the Douglas High baseball team ran into a wall in the semifinals Friday night.
According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the hosting Gorman Gaels handed the Tigers an 8-0 defeat. Gorman pitcher Stephen Manthei scattered three hits and struck out 14 batters to pick up the win.
Douglas will meet up with Vauxhall Baseball Academy from Canada in the tournament third-place game Saturday morning.
Vauxhall defeated South Tahoe 22-0 earlier in this week.
