Two men arrested when their Sunridge home was raided by drug officers on Jan. 27 are scheduled to be sentenced in Douglas County District Court this morning. Antonio Wood, 23, faces up to 36 years in Nevada State Prison after he admitted counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, burglary and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm. The minimum he would service is four years. Kurt Hewlett, 19, admitted to one count of conspiracy to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, and faces up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Two irrigation ditches above the Woodfords Inn burst their sides and sent mud and rocks into the parking lot on Monday morning. Alpine County deputies, volunteer firefighters and a crew from the Nevada Division of Forestry responded to the incident. The inn is still closed for the winter, so there was no need to evacuate. Authorities said water damage is limited to the main floor.

As hot as it's been, about three-quarters of the year's worth of moisture is still locked up in the snow at Ebbett's Pass, the wettest spot in the Carson River basin this winter. Ebbett's received 45.6 inches of moisture during the year. The low was 36 degrees on Sunday with a high of 61 degrees according to the Natural Resources Conservation Service sensor. The snow's melting off at about an inch a day when its warm.

We'll lose a couple of inches as the highs remain in the 80s in the Valley, but expect a cooldown toward the end of the week. There may even be some moisture to go along with it. On Wednesday the high temperature is forecast to be 82 degrees, on Thursday, 69 degrees and on Friday, 57 degrees. Lows are expected to drop below freezing again by Sunday.
