The Douglas High boys' golf team stayed in the hunt for a team berth to the Northern 4A Regional Championships with a fifth place finish at their home tournament at Genoa Lakes on Tuesday.
The Tigers shot a team 451, coming in behind Fallon (400), Manogue (408), Carson (421) and Galena (438). For the season, Douglas maintained a 1775-1807 lead on Galena in total strokes and a 19-15 lead in Sierra League Cup points for the final tournament berth.
Tiger junior Thomas Wicker tied for third overall in the tournament, shooting a 78. His finish helped him maintain his overall season lead in the Sierra League Individual standings with 386 cup points, compared to Carson's Jonathan Singer (313) and Fallon's Matt Vanderbeek (300.5).
Marco Gooding shot an 89 for the Tigers, Aaron Allen shot a 90, Eric Guzman shot a 95 and Aaron Leising shot a 99.
