Weekly update on former Tiger standouts

Shawn Estes, P, Albequerque Isotopes (Dodgers Triple-A): Estes is carrying a 4.50 ERA on the year with five strikeouts and three walks in two starts.


Jordan Hadlock, fr., C, Cal Poly: Red-shirting. Cal Poly Swept UC Davis over the weekend to improve to 27-9 overall on the year and 8-4 in Big West conference play.


Chris Honer, sr., P, Point Loma: Honer started against Vanguard last week but took a quick exit after surrending four earned runs on five hits in just over an inning of work.

Point Loma came back to win the game 11-10. Honer is carrying a 4.43 ERA on the year and is 3-0 with 24 strikeouts and 11 walks in six starts.


Phil Mannelly, soph., IF, Feather River: Feather River swept a series from Siskiyous over the weekend to run its win streak to nine games and improve to 34-3 on the year. Mannelly is batting .364 with 27 RBIs, two triples and 11 doubles to go with 14 stolen bases.


Cory Eilers, soph., DH, Feather River: Eilers is batting .227 on the year with two doubles, a home run and seven RBIs.


Roman Davis, soph., C, Feather River: Davis is batting .364 with a double and six RBIs.


Niko Saladis, soph., RF, Feather River: Saladis is batting .399 with nine doubles, four triples, a home run, 45 RBIs and 19 stolen bases. He has started all 37 games for the Golden Eagles this year.


Ryan Laing, soph., 1B, Pratt College: Pratt is 12-35 overall and 3-25 in conference play.


Chris Balcom-Miller, soph., P/IF, West Valley College: West Valley is currently riding a six-game win streak. Balcom is 6-3 on the year with a 2.32 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 62 innings pitched. He has started eight games and pitched two complete games on the year.

Brittany Puzey, sr., OF, Nevada: Puzey leads the Wolf Pack, currently 30-14 overall and 10-4 in WAC play, in batting with a .408 average to go with 11 doubles, two triples, 10 home runs and 43 RBIs. She has stolen 13 bases on the year.


Lauren Hoppe, fr., OF, College of Idaho: Red-shirting. The Coyotes swept a doubleheader from Great Falls Monday. They are 19-14 on the year.

Ryan Bertucci, soph., Chico State: Bertucci won the high jump at the Oregon/California Challenge on Saturday. He cleared 6-6 in the long jump.


Skylar Young, fr., Chico State: Young took second in the 800 at the Oregon/California Challenge on Saturday with a time of 2:22.34.
