Local musicians are invited for an acoustic jam, 2:30 - 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Eddy Street Book Exchange. Musicians of any acoustic instrument of any level of experience or those who don't play but want to sing along are welcome. Carson Valley Inn entertainment

M8trix continues in the Carson Valley Inn's Cabaret Lounge through Sunday, the Robeys entertain Monday through May 4, and the Millionaire$ appear May 5-11.

Live entertainment presented with no cover and no minimum with five 45-minute shows starting on the hour at 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

M8trix performs the best of '70s, '80s, '90s, Motown, R&B, pop and jazz, Latin and disco. The band is led by vocalist Stephanya and is rounded out with guitarist Mark Daniels, Michael Harper on bass, drummer Adam Lipsky and Moogie Clemon on keyboards.

The Robeys are Buford and Shirley Robey who have been performing together since 1986. They play rock 'n roll, oldies, top 40, blues, jazz, reggae and country songs from the 1930s to present.

Acoustic Solution is John, Wendy and Seth Andrews who play eclectic folk and electrified acoustic music on guitars, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, piano, percussion and drums. Copeland Cultural Arts Center ArtBar

Liz Broscoe's Journey of the Drum presentation is 7-9 p.m. today in the ArtBar at the Copeland Cultural Arts Center. Admission is $10.

Broscoe's introduction djembe drum workshop is 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the arts center. Cost is $25 with your drum, $30 with Broscoe's drum. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Carson Valley Arts Council.

Concert series continues

Mumbo Gumbo at CVIC Hall

The Carson Valley Arts Council concert series continues with Mumbo Gumbo on May 8 at the CVIC Hall, 1602 Esmeralda in Minden. Doors open with a no-host bar reception at 6 p.m. Concert at 7 p.m. Desserts at intermission. Admission is a $15 donation at the door. Proceeds benefit the Carson Valley Arts Council.
