Former Douglas High standout Chris Balcom-Miller continued his impressive start in rookie league baseball with the Casper Ghosts as he threw six shutout innings against Orem Sunday while striking out five and walking one.
He was named the Pioneer League's Pitcher of the Week for the second time in his two-month old professional career.
He is now 3-0 with a 1.36 ERA since being taken by the Colorado Rockies in the sixth round of the 2009 draft.
His ERA currently leads the league.
