EDITOR:
My son, Staff Sgt. Joseph J. Rose will again be returning to Iraq for the third time in August of this year. The fact that he's served in Iraq twice before doesn't make it any easier for us to let him go. It gets more difficult with every good-bye.
Some of us may have political views that may be different from Joseph's, but one thing is certain, that his friends and family truly support and respect Joseph and the thousands of men and women that risk their lives everyday for our country.
I would like to thank all Joseph's friends and family for attending his going away celebration last Saturday. The turn out was overwhelming. I would like to thank Rich's Highway Club for the great job they did hosting Joseph's farewell party. Thanks to Mary Marquez, Mechelle Fisher and Billey Stanberry for all of their hard work, to Samantha and Gary Thurm, Dan and Amanda Evans for their generosity and special thank-you to Shaun Cunningham for always being there for my son, and not to forget the "McGillicuddy Clan" for being such an important part of our lives.
