EDITOR:
As a property owner at 1330 Petar Drive, I feel I'm being subjected to an association that is not working on my behalf.
I never got to vote for or against anything, which is unconstitutional.
The improvements in common areas were done by the developer to help sell property.
A far better use of the common areas would be to put in rock and cut out all costs of upkeep. I don't care what my neighbor is doing, that's his business. I don't care for a real estate association that won't work. I've been in two other associations in California. They were nothing but trouble. I left California associations to live here without you dreaming up all you can to make more money from us. I think $50 is still too much for what's being done.
Most people feel the same as I do, but won't speak up for themselves for fear you can do something to interfere with their property rights. When you have us vote again, I'll be there to see that things are done right.
Some homowners associations have a purpose, but not the ones that just want to make money for people aside from property owners.
Because we plan to live here until death, we don't want to pay for this forever.
