A 12-week long partnership between the Reno Aces and the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) is culminating this weekend with a special fly casting class this Friday for winners in the "Fish or No Fish" contest.

On Saturday at 7:30 a.m. Aces players and the winners will test their skills during a fishing excursion on a stretch of the river near the stadium.

Entrants in the "Fish or No Fish" contest run between innings during Aces home games are entered in a sweepstakes to win a Walt Disney World Fishing Excursion sponsored by NDOW's partner the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation.

"Our baseball players and all of our local fans have a natural love for boating and fishing, so this is the perfect partnership," said Reno Aces general manager Rick Parr. "Who doesn't want to come watch great baseball, play some fun games, and possibly win a Walt Disney World Fishing Excursion?"

The promotion, which was embraced by more than 30 states' Triple-A Baseball teams this summer, is an effort by the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) to help increase participation in boating and fishing nationwide.

"With the strong tie between baseball and fishing and boating, we're thrilled to be working with the Aces in bringing America's greatest pastimes together," said Kelly Clark, NDOW's conservation education division chief.
